A Local's Top 5 Addresses for Brunch in Dublin South City

Updated: Apr 18

Discover the brunch gems of Dublin's vibrant South City through the eyes of a local. In this blog post, I'll share my top 5 addresses for the best brunch spots that offer everything from artisan coffee to gourmet dishes, each with its unique charm and flavors, promising an unforgettable brunch experience in the heart of Dublin, ensuring your morning starts with a delectable twist.

Alma

Often praised for its Argentinian-inspired menu, Alma is a gem for those seeking a vibrant atmosphere and inventive dishes that delight the palate. The location is very small and always full on weekends so book ahead if you want to secure a spot, also note that they give you a clear time limit to enjoy their dishes and atmosphere and will ask you to leave when your time is up.

As One

Known for its commitment to sustainability and health, As One offers a serene dining experience with nourishing and delicious options catering to all dietary needs. One of my all time favorite with a central location but in a very local area. The staff is very friendly and can adapt to any type of dietary requirement.

Brother Hubbard (Ranelagh Branch)

This spot is lauded for its Middle Eastern influenced cuisine, offering a unique brunch menu that's both flavorful and hearty in a cozy, welcoming setting. This is not the main venue and it's the reason why I like it better, the main venue is in the North and much bigger which makes it busier and louder, slightly too loud for my taste on a weekend so I prefer this smaller branch instead.

Farmer Browns

With its farm-to-table approach, Farmer Browns wins hearts with locally sourced ingredients, creating scrumptious, hearty meals that feel like home cooking with an upscale twist. The price - quality - quantity ratio here is hard to beat for south Dublin. They are also a good option for a quick Lunch with great Burgers and fast service.

Tang

Offers a health-focused brunch menu with vibrant dishes that are as nutritious as they are delicious, making it a go-to for those seeking a fresh and energizing start to their day in Dublin. I'd recommend going during the week if you can or take away and sit in St Stephen's Green for a spontaneous picnic.

Ebb&Flow

Stands out for its cozy ambiance and innovative brunch options, combining classic ingredients with modern twists to delight foodies looking for a memorable meal experience. If your accommodation is close to the Camden area this one is for you.
