[1] Mont Saint-Michel, Normandy

This majestic island commune rises from the sea like a mirage. Mont Saint-Michel is a dream destination that blends history with stunning landscapes. This medieval fortress is a testament to France's rich history. After exploring the abbey and winding streets of this little village surrounded by a sea of sand, treat yourself to the local specialty, 'omelette de la mère Poulard', known worldwide for its fluffy texture. The area is also known for its mouthwatering truffle dishes and ratatouille, offering a taste of authentic Provençal cuisine. You can swim in the gorges or in the lake from May to September.
